Credits and Acknowledgments
The Merk Mutual Funds would not be what they are without the joint effort of numerous service providers, the media, as well as our internal staff. We would like to thank in particular:
Atlantic Fund Services for providing Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting and Custody services. They in turn are supported by the Fund’s Chief Compliance Officer, outside legal counsel as well as the auditors to the Fund;

Contributions by Boldbrook Marketing and Public Relations were most valuable before and after the launch of the Merk Hard Currency Fund. Relentless work by Chris McManus of Centerstage Communications contributed to establish Merk Investments as a trusted expert with top tier media. We are also thankful to the discussions we engage in with leading analysts and economists in the industry as well as academia. Special thanks go to Patrick J. Foley, CFA, who is a frequent source of inspiration as well as critical feedback.
Merk Investments is also grateful to Federal Reserve staff as well as politicians throughout the political spectrum. We may be at times critical of their policies, but we appreciate the dedication they have. It is far easier to critically evaluate policies, as well as to make investment decisions based on the evaluation, than it is to actually govern. Very few policy makers, amongst them Congressman Ron Paul, are able to govern based on principle and conviction rather than the compromises that often convert good intentions to bad policy. We hope policy makers see our comments as constructive and hope they understand that they should only be concerned should the public stop contributing to debates.
Merk Investments’ internal staff, from our finance specialist to compliance officer, from portfolio manager to head of strategy, to back office support, all help to make Merk Investments a very special place to work. Our internal IT is also supported by MacCentric Solutions.
